3D X-ray

At present, dental treatment cannot take place without the X-ray examination. With the use of simple spot apparatuses we take photographs of single teeth due to which we can control the course of root canal treatment, we can find caries or periapical lesions. But it is still a simple photograph on which the overlapping structures often cover the essential in the process of diagnosis, part of the tooth.

In our Clinic we use a modern tomograph - CBCT (Vatech PaxDuo 3D), due to which we get a spatial image of X-rayed surrounding. Now we can watch the tooth practically from each side, check the shape and number of root canals, plan implantological and surgical treatment. The examination is performed with high accuracy of 78 µm and the image obtained has no distortions which can be observed in a classic pantomographic photograph.

Very extensive imaging field (12 x 8.5cm) allows us for examination of paranasal sinuses in laryngology or other head parts, e.g. in ophthalmology. Volumetric tomography is another milestone towards the conscious modern dentistry!
